Experience the Flavor of Ranch-Raised Lamb
Whole & Half Lamb Shares — $8/lb Hanging Weight
Wild Things Ranch lambs are born and raised on diverse rangeland pastures in Sonoma County, providing you with flavorful, tender lamb from a hardy heritage breed.
Whole and half lamb shares are available. Shares are first-come, first-served and require a $100 non-refundable deposit, which will be applied to your final balance once we receive your lamb’s hanging weight.
Details
Whole Lamb Share
- Live Weight: approximately 80–100 lbs
- Hanging Weight: typically 35–55 lbs
- Price: $8/lb hanging weight, determined after harvest
- Ranch Slaughter Fee: can be found here and is subject to change

Half Lamb Share
A half lamb share is a good option if you want local, grass-fed lamb in your freezer but do not need a whole animal.
With a half share, you are purchasing half of the lamb based on hanging weight. Because the animal is being split between two buyers, half-share customers receive a balanced mix of cuts from the lamb.
- Half share is based on half of the lamb’s hanging weight
- Price: $8/lb hanging weight, determined after harvest
- Ranch Slaughter Fee: paid directly to Willowside Meats and subject to change
- Cut & Wrap Fee: starts around $75, paid directly to Willowside Meats
- Cut options may be more limited than a whole lamb because the animal is split between two buyers
Slaughter and Butchering
Wild Things Ranch arranges the slaughter through Willowside Meats in Santa Rosa.
You will work directly with Willowside Meats for cut instructions, pickup details, and payment for butcher-related costs. Payment for the ranch slaughter fee and cut & wrap fees goes directly to Willowside Meats.
Please note: We try to provide offal when available, but organs are not guaranteed.
If you would like any organs included, please let us know when reserving your share. Availability is not guaranteed and depends on what the butcher is able to provide at harvest.
Local Butcher: We only work with Willowside Meats for whole and half lamb shares.
